Brendan bear turned 5

It has been quiet on writing front. Summer has come and gone and Brendan turned 5. We had a Star Wars Birthday and we made some awesome Lightsabers. I honestly can't remember where I found the how-to, but If I find it before Halloween, I'll update this post. The boys are obsessed.

Father's Day Camp

Father's Day Camp

My husband, Nate Bettger, is a wonderful father. He loves our boys with all his heart. He is patient, and gentle, and firm, and fun, and really just a sweet man. I am so honored that he chose me to be his partner in parenting, really, I could not do it with out him. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, doing the work and being present in their families. giving and receiving love, support, and wisdom.

Knight Lake

Knight Lake

Life can be pretty simple and perfect sometimes. We were gifted a glorious weekend on a sweet secluded lake in Western Wisconsin a few weeks ago. Fishing, fire, wine, lots of yoga, stories, hammock naps, bunkbeds, bugs, early morning, row boats, sunshine, frog song, and lots of time and space under the big cedar trees and sky. Thank you Irene and Mark for your generosity and use of "The Cabin."

Vitamin N

Vitamin N

Nature. Nature. Nature. For me, that is the medicine for everything. Yoga, Meditation and Nature. Its where I heal, where I enliven, where I'm most myself, when I feel the weight of anything, its mostly likely when I'm missing one of these. Vitamin N - is essential to my well-being. It a place that Nate and I strive to give to our boys, and we are all better for it.

Last weekend, I took a quick little mama break to take a yoga class in Kohler and then to visit Lake Michigan and the Kohler-Andre Dunes. It was a hot yoga class, a cold day and it was all mine. Grateful to my boys for being just fine without me for the day.

Gathered up a great class and am excited to share it with you this week.

Here's a little look.
